Young Governors

In 2016, we decided to center our project around the idea of ageism and adultism. As a youth-led community organization, we believed it was necessary to inform the public about the negative effects of stereotyping youth and undermining their capacity for change. We saw the need to establish the idea that young people and adults stand on the same ground and that it is counterproductive to disrespect both groups, but rather, appreciate them for who they are. By challenging the traditional mindsets we have about age-related power dynamics, we were able to create a more tolerant and open-minded community.
